On 13 March 2024 Auxilium Nisarg Mitra, in collaboration with the NSS unit of Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Matunga, orchestrated a street play in Wadala’s Bhimwadi slum. The initiative aimed to illuminate Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) issues for both slum residents and passers-by. With Adith M.K (Environment Coordinator at ASA) and 10 dedicated NSS volunteers, the play vividly portrayed common WASH challenges and underscored the significance of proper sanitation, access to clean water, and effective waste management. Through dynamic scenes and interactive elements, the play effectively communicated these crucial messages, eliciting discussions and encouraging reflection among the audience. Spanning approximately 10 minutes, the performance made a substantial impact, showcasing the potential of creative strategies in fostering positive behaviour change.
