On 14 – 15 June 2024 Mr. Adith MK (Environment Coordinator at ASA) conducted anawareness and training sessions on WASH at Auxilium Convent School in Nandgad, Belgaum involving 312 students and 18 teachers. The initiative aimed to educate students on the importance of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) through interactive sessions and activities. Teachers received comprehensive training to develop and implement a WASH curriculum, and a WASH committee was formed to oversee and evaluate the program’s progress. The sessions resulted in enhanced awareness among students, empowered teachers with essential skills, and established ongoing support and evaluation mechanisms through the school-based WASH committee.
