Advancing WASH Advocacy: Comprehensive Training for VTC and ASA Staff

On 04 – 06 July 2024 Sr. Rosaline Pereira organized a 2-day training for 8 VTC Sister Coordinators of the centres and 19 ASA staff , The meeting focused on Advocacy on WASH. The meeting began with an activity on water conservation, followed by presentations from 10  centers on their annual report. Key sessions included SMART coordination by Mr. Adhith M.K (Environment Coordinator at ASA), Mrs. Stella Mary (Centre Manager at Wadala ASA), and Ms. Praveena Narayanan (Cluster Coordinator), as well as session on community empowerment for sanitation by Mr. Anand Jagtap, menstrual hygiene management by Mrs. Rosy Joseph, and the importance of health in WASH by Dr. Deepak Raut. These sessions highlighted the significance of WASH for adolescent health, barriers to effective menstrual hygiene, and the importance of community engagement, equipping strategies to enhance adolescent well-being and center operations.
